Taylor Swift

TAYLOR SWIFT.

aka Tay Tay (I may be the only person who refers to her this way and means it entirely sincerely) ❤

Taylor Swift Chronicles:

While I could write about Taylor Swift as a multi-award winning, chart topping, touring phenomenon, singer and songwriter who has directed, written, and produced multiple works, this would all be things you could research yourself.

If you’re already a swiftie then me mentioning her ten albums that range from country to pop to indie folk isn’t new information. Nor that she has successfully completed five concert tours and is currently on her sixth.

I could mention my admiration for Taylor Swift in reclaiming her music, taking a political stance and inspiring young people to vote or for supporting women’s and LGBTQ+ rights. But maybe you, dear reader, just don’t get the hype and for you I feel sorry.

So instead I will focus this post to the one person it is all about… Taylor Swift.

Dear Taylor,

I hope this letter finds its way to you carrying with it the echoes of the admiration and love that your lyrics have sparked within me. Your music has been my constant companion through the seasons of life and now I find it fitting to express my feelings using the very words that have become the soundtrack of my existence.

“We’re happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way.”

In the symphony of your songs I find solace and understanding. Your lyrics articulate emotions that resonate deeply within me. In the ebb and flow of life your music has been a reliable confidante, capturing the essence of my dreams, heartbreaks and need for resilience.

“I’ve found time can heal most anything and you just might find who you’re supposed to be.”

Your journey marked by the evolution of your sound and the narratives you weave mirrors the beauty of growth and self-discovery.

“And the road not taken looks real good now.”

Your music has been a guiding light, reminding me that healing is a journey and every scar tells a story worth sharing.

“You drew stars around my scars, but now I’m bleedin.”

Your music has been the dance floor of my soul. As a fan, I find joy in dancing through the highs and lows, knowing that your melodies will always be the perfect partner for the dance of my heart.

“I don’t wanna dance if I’m not dancing with you.”

Your fearless authenticity and the courage to share your vulnerabilities have inspired me to embrace my own imperfections.

“I’ll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror.”

Your lyrics have protected me from the fears of self-doubt and societal expectations. In your music I find the strength to stand tall and unapologetically be myself.

“You are the best thing that’s ever been mine.”

Taylor, your artistry is a treasure, a gift to the world. The melodies and verses you craft are timeless, etching memories into the tapestry of our lives. Your ability to encapsulate the essence of love, both lost and found is nothing short of magical.

“I once believed love would be burning red but it’s golden.”

Your optimism even in the face of adversity has been a beacon of hope.

“And I hope the sun shines and it’s a beautiful day.”

As I conclude this letter, Taylor please know that being a fan isn’t just about the music; it’s about embracing the vulnerabilities, celebrating the victories and finding solace in the harmonies of your art. You’ve taught me that love is a delicate dance and every misstep is just a part of the enchanting choreography.

“Long live all the magic we made.”

Long live the magic of being a Taylor Swift fan!

Thank you for being the lyrical architect of my emotions and for giving a voice to the unspoken chapters of my life.

“Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close? Forever and ever.”

Alex. (Swiftie) ❤
